Laitha Devi is represented as a manifestation of goddess Parvati, similar to Durga and Mahakali. She is the primeval creator along with Lord Shiva. Tripura Sundari is the highest aspect of Goddess Adi Parashakti as per the Srikula tradition.

About the making :   Made in Panchloha , through successive generations of sthapathis, this ancient heritage has been preserved in Tamilnadu.  These metal idols are all solid and individually crafted, showing high levels of detail. Today, artisans in Tamil Nadu continue the thousand-year-old Chola tradition of making Panchaloha and bronze sculptures . Bronze statues are made using the lost-wax method.  

  According to the Shilpa shastras, a collection of ancient texts that describe the arts and crafts and their design rules and principles, this composition should be followed. 

Traditionally, Panchaloha is an alloy of

copper, 

zinc, 

Iron.
